Association Structure

BASEM Executive Board

The BASEM Executive Board is a group of  individuals who are members of BASEM and Doctors/Allied Professionals either employed or retired from their profession.  They are elected  and appointed as Directors of the Association.  Each Director volunteers their time and is responsible for the management and decision making to ensure aims and objectives of the Association are met in accordance with governing documents.

The Executive Committee includes Members of the Association in the following capacities with the power to appoint Executives in accordance with the Articles of Association:-

  • President
  • Chair
  • Vice Chair
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Education Chair
  • Generic Positions

Positions on the Executive Board are held for a 3 year term.

All Directors of the Association are nominated by the membership and elected at the annual AGM, with the exception of the President and Vice Chairperson.

The Executive Board can co-opt additional members to the Board.

BASEM Operational Staff

The BASEM Executive Board is supported by a team of administration staff:-

  • Business Development Manager - Full-time
  • Membership Manager - Part-time
  • Education Manager - Part-time
  • Marketing & PR Manager - Part-time

The operational team is responsible for the day to day running of the Association and is accountable to the BASEM Executive Committee.
