Endorsement of External Education Courses
BASEM organises a programme of Sport and Exercise medicine education for BASEM members and the sport, exercise, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, physiology, medical student, GP and wider community.
The use of the BASEM logo branding, name and any associated imagery is protected and any use must be approved by application to BASEM.
For an educational course to be endorsed by BASEM the following criteria must be met:-
- At least 2 current members, in good standing, must be involved in the course programme and running thereof.
- The proposed endorsement must be received at least 3 months prior to the date of the event to the Education Committee for consideration of endorsement.
- The course must serve an identified need such as regional education; fill a gap in the existing educational programme; must not duplicate existing BASEM education activity; must possess Royal College recognition for CPD, or equivalent for Physiotherapy, strength and conditioning or coaching.
Previously regional meetings have been held under the banner of BASEM. All BASEM endorsement of activities must now be considered by the BASEM Executive Board for formal endorsement.
Applications will be considered at the BASEM Executive Meeting prior to the proposed meeting and approval.
