Corporate - During a review of current membership subscription categories at the BASEM Executive Board meeting on 1st December 2011, the Board agreed to discontinue Corporate membership with effect from 1st January 2012. This category was felt to be inappropriate, in terms of membership benefits - Corporate members receive the same benefits as any individual Full/Associate member (with the exception that a Doctor of medicine holding Full membership as the additional benefit of voting rights with regard to changes of the constitution of BASEM) and is at the same cost as the Corporate Membership category was. Therefore, if your company includes a Doctor of medicine, this person can join/renew with BASEM as a full member. Any other members of your company could join as an individual Associate memer, if your company is allied to Sports Medicine in its practice. Existing Corporate memberships will run their course, but will not be able to renew as Corporate.
Full members, Retired members and Family membership including a Doctor of medicine are entitled to voting rights for changes to the constitution of BASEM.
All membership subscriptions run from 12 months consecutively from joining or renewal. The membership subscription renewal date is 12 months after the last day of the month of joining, for example, if you join 15th May, the renewal date is 31st May the following year.
Payment can be made online using our WorldPay portal by credit or debit card.
Those individuals wishing to join offline, pay by cheque or by direct debit mandate should contact the BASEM office on 01302 822300 or at enquiries@basem.co.uk.
