Members receive a paper copy of the journal through the post on a monthly basis (online access only for student and F1/F2 membership); Online access via an individual BJSM account; Online access via the BASEM website members' area, available for current and back copies of the BJSM.

 

2.  BASEM Today Magazine

Members receive a paper copy of the BASEM Today through the post on a quarterly basis (online access only for student and F1/F2 membership).  This magazine keeps members up-to-date with BASEM news, SEM articles, informatin on BASEM courses and national and international SEM events.

 

3.  BASEM Ecircular

Members receive a monthly newsletter by e-mail which will keep them up-to-date with national and international SEM events, current SEM career opportunities, BASEM news and information.

 

4.  BASEM Annual Conference - UKSEM

Members receive an education programme and the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals.  Learn and keep updated with developments within the speciality and recieve reduced delegate fees.

 

5.  BASEM Education Courses

Members receive reduced delegate fees for all BASEM Education courses.

 

6.  Reduced Fees For Other Organisation Education Courses

Members receive member rate delegate fees with ACPSM and BASES education courses.

 

7.  BASEM Members' Area on the BASEM Website

THE HISTORY OF BASEM

 

In 1953, a group of doctors, mostly those who were acting as medical advisers to the Governing Bodies of sport, with the addition of some others interested in medical aspects of sport, met at the Westminster Hospital in London at the instigation of Sir Adolphe Abrahams and Sir Arthur Porritt..
