David Hemery (MBE ’69, CBE ’03) married with two boys in their twenties, is best known for his days in sport, both as Olympic Champion & World Record holder in the 400m hurdles and later three times winner of Superstars. Since then he has been a coach, teacher, manager and writer, and is currently Vice Chairman of British Olympic Association. He became Patron of BASEM in October 2009.
